Burleigh Challenger Round 2

With a few late entries the Burleigh Challenger FIDE rated Classical event eclipsed 40 entrants at a Gold Coast CC club night for the first time in recent memory. 42 players have entered our first major event of 2023 which shows how interest in chess is growing!

Another junior upset was had, this time by Oscar who won against Adam Vagg rated 300 points higher. Summer also had a good result drawing his match with Peter Segalla. A group of strong players sit on 2/2 led by top seed Terrence Tang (1625 ACF) and 2nd seed Harold Perry (1605 ACF).
